Why we built it
Getting a document signed should take minutes. In practice it often means printing, signing, scanning, emailing, and chasing — or paying enterprise pricing for a product built for procurement departments rather than for the person who just needs a contract back.
Initial and Sign started from a simple observation: most people sending documents for signature want the same handful of things. Upload a file. Mark where the signature goes. Send it. Know when it comes back, and be able to prove it later.
How we approach it
Pay for what you use
Start with Pay As You Go at your local per-document rate plus applicable local tax, or move to Monthly or Annual billing as your sending volume grows. No per-seat licensing.
Nothing for signers to install
People signing your documents need no account, no app and no subscription. They open a link and sign.
Evidence by default
Every document carries an audit trail and a certificate of completion, so a signature can be relied on months later.
Built to integrate
An API lets other systems send documents for signature directly, so signing fits into a workflow rather than interrupting it.
Who uses it
The platform is used by conveyancers, small legal practices, property managers, trades and consultancies — organisations where agreements are routine but a dedicated contracts team is not.
Where we are heading
The near-term focus is depth rather than breadth: better templates for documents you send repeatedly, clearer status when a signature is outstanding, and stronger integration options for the systems our customers already run.
